Ottawa Man, 27, Charged With Second-Degree Murder In Orléans Stabbing Death

Police have charged a 27-year-old Ottawa man with second-degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of Varney Marshall, 34, in Orléans earlier this month.

Police said Muhammad Khattak, 27, of Ottawa, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

Police discovered the body of a man at a home in the 300 block of Mockingbird Drive in Orléans on the evening of Aug. 7.

The discovery was first described as “suspicious” by police, but it was officially classified as homicide on Friday.
